As Halloween is approaching this weekend, we thought we would go for something scary and creepy.

Steph has chosen this weeks Challenge
GHOSTS AND GHOULS, SPIDERS AND SPOOKS
and is sponsored by the wonderful

They are offering our winner free digi's from their store

We wanna see your scariest, creepiest, cutest and funniest Halloween creations. And here are our Design Team projects to spark some inspiration.

StephI started this card by corner the points. I just thought it makes the card look softer. I used the papers and card from stash, the ribbon is from Hobbycraft, the little witch is by our sponsor at Digi Garden which I coloured with my beloved ProMarkers. The sentiment was freehand the I added the gems for added blingage!!

Josie: I don't do Halloween, (I'm working my days off because of it though!), but I took the colour scheme from Halloween. Purple and orange. I used my tatty button stamp, coloured with Pro Markers. Backing paper is Basic Grey, Dotty card is from Pinflair.

Helen This week I have used a punch from Stampin' Up! to make a frightened looking owl - bless him, I think he's scared of the bats flying overhead!!  I've used Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock from Stampin' Up! for the owl.
The moon has been made using a circle of Sahara Sand cardstock edged with a tree stamp from Claritystamp and sponged over with Sahara Sand ink pad.  The ribbon is Rich Razzleberry and Pumpkin Pie, and the card is mounted onto Basic Black and Rich Razzleberry cardstock with a sentiment added, all from Stampin' Up!.
Looking forward to seeing your creepiest creations!

Jacqui H This card I began by stamping the moon and masking it while I brayered the sky,  I then stamped the tree, I stamped in the spooky sentiment and some scary pumpkins.  OK so Steph's real ones are miles better than these and way scarier.

I used black distress ink to dye the Hunky Dory Fancy background card and then added the topper to the base

ShelbyWelcome back for another fun challenge!  This week I pulled out a Whipper Snapper stamp and paired these characters up with some MME Halloween paper.  Of course they were colored up with copics and the rosette sentiment is from my stash that I snagged from my LSS.

Jacqui M Hello everyone..Thanks for joining us for another Fab challenge here at Glitter Geeks Towers lol...So its Halloween themed this week, so I drew this little cutie just for this challenge. Shes coloured with my beloved Promarkers, the little circle behind her is cut using a nesties die and then I just drew the little skulls and bones and glittered them. DPs were all in my stash box as were the ribbon and pearls.

Paula:  All the fantastic girl and pumpkin images i used for my card are from this weeks sponsor Digi Garden, i used my Copic Markers to colour them.  I love Halloween cards and decided to do a scene type one.  I used Echo Park papers which i edged with distress ink.  I also used black stickles on some of the bats.  I used the Cricut cartridge Happy Hauntings to cut my fence and grass out, i also added distress ink to those after sanding them down.  The sentiment and spider image are from a Daisy & Dandelion Halloween stamp set, i added the purple brad to give it a bit of colour.

Nelly:  Ok folks I'll share a little secret,  "I cant do scary he he! so opted for cute ;) the image and design paper is from a favourite collection of mine by Pink Petticoat, I used a dielicious nesting die from x cut to matt and layer the image onto and glittered up the ghost's a little, the star embellishments were a present from a friend's holiday and are called "in 2 craft" the sentiment is from a papermania set, Martha Stewart border punch to create the border trim . I decided to create this design as an invitation, I may not like Scary and Halloween but any excuse for a party eh! :)

Marfa To make this card  I'm using digi stamps by The Digi Garden.  I colored the witch and the jack-o-lantern with my Copic markers.  The paper that I used is all from a really cool stack by DCWV called The Halloween and Fall Stack.  The card is a Silhouette Cutting Machine file from their online store.  I used my Fiskars Glitter Gel pens to add some sparkle.  Spooky, huh?

Sarah Like Nelly, I have to be honest and tell you that I don't do scary! In fact I am probably whatever the Halloween equivalent of Scrooge is! So I went for cute on my card too and threw in some autumn colours. The little witch is from Torico's Digital Gallery, she's coloured with Promarkers. The paper is an ancient My Mind's Eye one which I doctored a little bit - some of the spots were blue, which didn't suit me so I coloured them in brown with a Promarker and I also coloured the ribbon green to fit in. I'm liking the rounded corner look at the moment so I added some of those too and then distressed a few edges with Old Paper Distress Ink.

Doreen: For my card I used the Digi Stamp from Digi Garden, which I colored with copics. The backgorund is also a Digi Stamp from Polka Doodles. The Paper is also Digi - but I don't know where I got the freebies.

The team has chosen this weeks Challenge
RECIPE.
and is sponsored by the amazing

They are offering our winner a £10 Voucher to spend in their store

RECIPE works like this. You chose one item from each section of the menu to use for your project.

Section 1- Turquoise and Pink, Turquoise and Purple or Turquoise and Grey
Section 2 - Flowers, Feathers or Ribbon
Section 3 - Sentiment, Charm or Swirls
Section 4 - Gems, Beads or Glitter

So for example you may use Turquoise and Purple, Flowers, Charm and Glitter to decorate your work.

And to help you on your way, here are our Design Team projects to seed some ideas.

StephI used papers that I've had in my stash for months. I didn't actually think I'd ever use em but thankfully I kept them. I backed them onto silver mirror card and attached them with Pinflair. The image is by our sponsor Lili of the Valley which I coloured with ProMarkers. I mounted that onto a scalloped square and added roses and a wooden butterfly. The sentiment is Hunky Dory and I added the gems for that special bling!

Josie: For the recipe I chose Swirls, Gems and Flowers. I used this gorgeous Lili of the Valley stamp and coloured with pro makers.

Hi there!  This week I have picked these items from the recipe: Purple & Turquoise; Ribbon (paper pleat); Sentiment; Beads.
The image is from our lovely sponsor, LOTV, and is called Swing Time, coloured in with both Flexmarkers and Promarkers, then die cut using Spellbinders Labels A.  The sentiment is also from LOTV, from the Dreamy Days set, die cut using Spellbinders Floral Doily Motif and highlighted with lilac pearlescent chalk.
The base card is Wisteria Wonder, topped with Tempting Turquoise card stock.  The DSP is Tempting Turquoise from the Brights Collection for the ribbon paper pleat, and Flirtatious for the background, all from Stampin' Up!  The accent beads are from my ever growing bead stash :).  Have fun with your creations xx

ShelbyFor this challenge, I went with turquoise and pink, sentiment, ribbon/twine, gems and glitter.  I used this wonderful new image from Make it Crafty and paired it up with MME 12 Days of Christmas paper.  The turquoise glitter is from Tonerex, the pearls are Melissa Frances and the twine from MME Lime Twist Collection.  The stocking dies and coordinating sentiments from Whimsy Stamps were embossed with white Filigree.  And of course, the image was colored up with copics.

For my recipe I used: Pink and Turquoise, Ribbon, Sentiment, and Gems. I used this Gorgeous image from The Digi Stamp Boutique * Hattie And Friend* and coloured her with my ever trusty Promarkers, and added glittery snow to her coat and headband pompom. The papers are from my stash as are the buttons and ribbon. The little embossed circle is a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.

Paula  For my recipe i chose turquoise and grey, ribbon, sentiment and glitter.  My image is a Tickled Pink digi image which i've coloured with Copic pens and Prisma Pencils, i also added some glossy accents to the roses, and eyes.  I coloured some white ribbon with the same Copic pen, i then stamped the Dream Ticket Sentiment which is from Creative Expressions.  I've used Stickles to glitter round the ticket and also on the four corners of my card and image.  The papers i've used are from Black Market Paper Society.

Daisy
Hi Everyone!
For this week I used from the recipe...Turquoise and Pink (obviously), Flowers, a Sentiment and Gems.

As it is October and is Breast Awareness Month I found this Free Digi Stamp and knew it had to be used!! It is by Tricia Moore from her site Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. I coloured this with my trusty Pro and Aqua Markers.
The papers are from a Kanban CD Rom.
The big turquoise flower is from Polkadoodles CD rom called All About and Everywhere.
The pink flowers I made myself using a punch and some scissors.
Gems and pearl from stash.
Sentiment I made myself.
all for the card below :)

Nelly:
Hi everyone, I thought this may be a recipe for disaster as I opted for something other than my usual "first choice preferences"
section 1 Turquoise and Grey's, section 2  Ribbon, section 3 sentiment, section 4 beads.
L.O.T.V image coloured with pro markers, nestabilities oval deckle edge die and i paper pierced around the edge, design paper from my minds eye " true blue" collection, stamped around the design using sentiment from woodware, silver grey ribbon and pearl beads from stash.

Marfa
To make my card I used scrapbook paper from Oriental Trading's pastel paper pack.  I cut the Christmas ornament with my Silhouette Cutting Machine and embellished it with homemade faux flower soft and Martha Stewart glitter.  The finishing touch was a bit of ribbon from my stash.

Sarah
Hi everyone! From this week's recipe I chose turquoise and pink, ribbon, swirls, and gems. The image is a digi from Saturated Canary, a site I am currently hopelessly in love with! She's coloured with a mixture of Promarkers and Flexmarkers, with a few drops of Glossy Accents on the water droplets. The (barely visible) patterned paper is My Mind's Eye and the pink panel is Coredinations embossed with my Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls folder, the ribbon just came from my ever increasing ribbon jar!

Doreenfor my card I used 1. turquoise and grey, 2. feather and 3. sentiment, section 4. beads.
I used the Sail Away stamp from stamping Up which I heat embossed. The Cardstock is from Stampin Up too and also embossed.

Kelly This week for my card i was a bit greedy and used Torquoise and Pink, Flowers and Ribbon, Gems and Glitter and Sentiment and a charm. I have used this gorgeous little girl from LOTV, which i picked up at Ally Pally a few weeks ago.  She is coloured with promarkers and Copics and glittered with glamour dust. I have adde blue ribbon and white lace, from my stash.  The paper is from Wild rose Studio Gingham paper pack.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts,  Gems and charm were in my stash.  The sentiment is from Sentiments 4 U.

For starters though, I'd like to announce the winners of last weeks FLOWER POWER challenge.
Oh my there were SOOOOOO many beautiful creations to choose from. I really found it so hard to choose my own top three let alone wonder how my design team chose theirs. But eventually, after a grueling decision, we got there and after counting up the numbers, these fab ladies became top 3.

In order

1. #38 Diane
2. #8 Jayne
3. #7 Kavitha

Congratulations lovelies. Please email Steph on PepperyApple@Gmail.com for your badges and prizes.

This challenge was jointly chosen by Josie and Jacqui H. And this week it is
TWO'S COMPANY.
and is sponsored by the wonderfully talented

She is offering our winner a £10 Voucher to spend in her online store.
****
Two's Company is simply this, we want to see two of something on your project.
Two images, two colours, two embellishments, etc.

"Huh???" I hear you say...  No worries, here are our Design Team projects to show you.

StephMy project was made using the new Forever Friends Christmas goodies I got from Hobbycraft on my travels last week. I used gold Mirror Card as backing and used the pearlescent papers that I bought. The main image, the tags and the robins are all die cut stickers from the same range. I used burgundy ribbon and gold pearls to finish.

Josie: This week I used the image from the Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD Rom and the backing papers are from the Pretty Sweet CD Rom. Glossy accents used for high lights and Cosmic shimmer glitter over the card candy.

Hi there!  This week I have kept it nice and simple.  I've stamped one of my favourite images by Margaret Sherry for Penny Black called 'Get together', and coloured it in with a mixture of Flexmarkers and Promarkers.  The image is cut out using a Spellbinders Labels Five die, and I've added a strip of DSP in Cajun Craze from the Regals Collection from Stampin' Up!, and punched this out using the brand new dotted scallop ribbon border punch.
I picked up the cute little felt toadstools from Hobbycraft on a visit there a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't resist adding them to the card!

For this weeks challenge I have used the utterly Adorable Pollycraft image Swings And Slides - Sweet Love Set. I teamed it with Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Paper Stash, creating the border with a Martha Stewart Edge Punch. I used my trusty Promarkers and coloured pencils for this one.

Nelly
For this weeks theme "two's company" I have chosen an image from my favourite stamp collection, two adorable Tilda's, stamped using dye based ink and coloured two different shades of pink with pro markers, it's an easel style card created by using Marianne circles die on cream card for the base and antique gold mirror for the layer, this die is so versatile as it can be used in so many different ways! some ribbon and flourish to accent the finished card and of course two pink and cream roses from my stash :)

For this card I used a Sliekje image, which I absolutely love, and I colored it with my Copic markers.  I added some silver Martha Stewart glitter to the hat’s trimming and to the scarf.  The green cardstock comes from an old Mary Engelbreit kit that I’ve had for years.  The little paper wreath, if I remember correctly, is a Jolee sticker.  It was laying around in my stickers stash.  The gold foil is recycled from something, but I don’t remember what exactly.  I took a couple of red buttons, clipped off the back, and glued them to two plastic snowflakes.  The ribbon used to belong to my mother.  It’s a simple and traditional card, but I like it a lot.

SarahI had a lot of fun with this challenge trying to get two of everything in! The reindeer image is from Elzybells (now sadly closed down) and I also added another Christmas pudding from a Woodware set I just treated myself to. All coloured with Promarkers of course. The two papers are from First Edition 'Festive Treats' and the two ribbons just bits I had in my jar. If you care to look closely you'll also see there are two 3mm gems and two 2mm gems - I might have got slightly carried away with the two thing! Unfortunately I could only get the one greeting in though, it's from the Woodware set I treated myself to last year (are you seeing a theme here?) :)

Paula

For this weeks Two's Company Challenge i saw an idea in Craft Stamper magazine that i wanted to try, so i added my "two" into this.

I've used 2 Winnie Owls from Willow Designs.  I printed them out, then used my Cricut to cut the circles round them and also the scalloped shapes.  The owls were coloured with Copics and the edges inked.  The papers are from My Minds Eye.  They were then all stuck together with some brads.

DoreenFor my card I used the cute stamp "Musing Melinda" from Whiff of Joy. I love this stamp. I colored it with Distress Ink and for the wings I used stickles. The papers are from Creative Memories. Because of the theme of this week "Two's company" I used two colours (brown / blue), two soft blue flowers from Prima and two petals, which are made with the "owl" punch from Stampin Up.

Kelly For my card this week i have used this little cutie from Willow Designs, which is coloured with promarkers.  I have used 2 ribbons that i had in my stash.  2 backing papers from Wild Rose Studio Milton's Christmas. 2 poisionettas, 2 cream and 2 purple mini cherry blossoms from Crafty Emmas Store and 2 pink and 2 silver gemmed corners to finish it off.  I think i covered two's company, don't you?

For our Two's Company, I chose a beautiful Sylvia Zet digi called Fairy Girl. I went with two wings, two patterned papers (Prima's Fairy Flora), two ribbons (from Papertrey Ink) and two ticket sentiments (from Tim Holtz).  Of course she was colored up with copics and I put a bit of stardust stickles around the image for some shimmer and shine.

Wow 2nd week as a DT member already!!
For this Week I focused on images by our Sponsor Sharon Armstrong from Willow Design. I have used the Double Sprinkle of Kraft. The Cd Sharon made with Nikky Hall from PolkaDoodles.

I have used: 2 trees, 2 birds, 2 birdhouses, 2 flowers in birds beak....even used 2 different backing papers!!
The ribbon is from Cosmo Cricket and crystals from Swarovski.

Don't forget to stick to the rules if you want a chance to win.

Our chosen challenge this week is
FLOWER POWER.
and is sponsored by the wonderful

She is offering our winner a £10 Voucher to spend in in online store

We want to see your most colourful, blooming flowers on your craftwork this week. And here are our Design Team projects to spark some inspiration.

StephFor this I used the 'Pure Bliss' House Mouse stamp by our wonderful sponsor Joanna Sheen. I coloured it in with ProMarkers and add some glitter for a little sparkle. I mounted that onto red card and added it to my card which had paper from my stash cut into 3 inch squares and mounted onto red card. I layered the flowers and added a brad though the middle of each and secured them with Pinflair. Used Candi by Craftwork Cards on the top left and added glitter to them and the flowers. Added a small sentiment to finish.

HelenI was commissioned to make this card for my friend's son, to give to his Godmother for her 40th.  The brief was yellow roses and glitter! The base card is So Saffron, layered with Early Espresso, both from Stampin' Up!.  The design paper is by Pebbles Inc. and is called Lexington, from the Downtown Collection.  The Messy Rabbit (Party) image is from our fabulous Sponsor Joanna Sheen, and I have simply stamped her using an Early Espresso Stampin' Pad onto a Very Vanilla cardstock Spellbinders Labels Eight die cut.  Then I've added some peach and lemon rhinestones from Papermania to the flower centres, and added a piece of ivory wide satin ribbon from Anna Griffin.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and painted with Martha Stewart Multi Surface Acrylic Glitter paint in Lemon Drop.
Finally, the greeting has been typed out onto a Labels Eight die cut.

Jacqui HI made this card for a lady at work who recently retired. Each blade of the fan is individual. I embossed the outline of the fan. Coloured it with promarkers. Added gems n a sparkly brad. I made the
bouquet of flowers to add a special flourish and mounted them all on an X" square card.

ShelbyThis adorable stamps is from Sylvia Zet and is called Poppy. I paired her and her friend up with papers from Basic Grey's Oxford collection. The die is from Memory box and the pearls from Melissa Frances. And of course, the coloring was done with copics.

Jacqui MWell Friday sure rolls around quick lol..So our theme this week is Flower Power, for my card I used this Gorgeous Free digi from Meljens Papercraft Planet Group. He was coloured with the trusty Promarkers. I used a Flower stamp from the bargain box at a local craft shop and the ribbon was in my stash.

KellyI am so honoured to be on this design team and what better than make a card with some gorgeous flowers! I love Magnolia Tilda and she just screams out for flowers!  I have coloured her with promarkers.  The papers are from First Edition.  The border is punched with a EK Success punch i won in some candy.

PaulaMy first ever DT card so exciting times :)  Thanks for allowing me to be part of the team.

For this Flower Power theme i used a Joanna Sheen Shopping Diva Stamp and coloured it with Prisma pencils.  The backing papers are from Imaginisce and the sentiment stamp from Whimsey.  The flowers i added are Anitas Design flowers.  I've added some gems and also some stickles to the poodles cuffs and top knot.

DaisyPolkaDoodles Backing papers. Handmade flowers with Candi House Mouse stamp coloured with promarkers. Sizzix Framelits. Ribbon and pearls from stash.

NellyWell isn't this just exciting! I got the news I was on the design team on Sunday whilst on a weekend break! Just couldn't wait to get home and started, coupled with the most fabulous sunshiny weather for October i decided to opt for cheerful colour tones in celebration ,the design is a book card created simply by cutting A4 in half, score in 1 inch from the left on both pieces, punch 3 holes and thread ribbon to tie in a bow, using a Martha Stewart punch I created the border to the right, on the first piece of card, I have taken this image from Joanna Sheen's "Patience strong" CD, I printed the image twice to allow me to decoupage the flowers and glaze them using 3D crystal lacquer, the inner section of the book is the matching insert from the CD cut to A5, simply covered the whole section and glittered the flowers, I have edged with mustard seed and sage Tim Holz distress inks, glittered using Diamond stickles!

MarfaWow, this is really exciting. It is my very first DT project. If I was at the Oscars this would be the time when I have to walk down the red carpet with thousands of people watching and I'm just hoping not to fall flat on my face :-) Well, I made a Thanksgiving thank you card. The digi stamp is a freebie from May Brit's Hobbyblogg. The cardstock and tag are from Deja View’s C-thru Cat Life 12 x 12 paper pack. Its discontinued, but you might be able to find it in e-bay. The Decorative Fall Leaves are from Oriental Trading. The buttons and ribbon are from my personal stash collected through the years. I colored everything with my Copic markers. The I added shimmer with my Fiskars glitter gel pens. However, the bees were colored with my Sakura SoufflĂ©- 3-D opaque yellow ink pen

SarahI was a little bit nervous about my first DT project so to boost my confidence I decided to use my favourite flower stamp and papers! The stamp is a Polkadoodles one that I got with Craft Stamper magazine, and the paper is My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow. I coloured the flowers with Promarkers and also used Pear Green to colour the card blank and ribbon to match. The sentiment is a Craftwork Cards one and of course I had to add some glitter too!

DoreenWow, it's so exciting. My first DT project where I have to explain what I have done.
So I apologize for any mistakes in language - German is easier for me ;-)
I used one of my favorite Magnolia stamp for my card and colored with Distress Ink - Ranger.
Than I stamped the swirl on the edge with a Flower Stamp from Stampin Up.
The PP is Creative Memories. The edges are distressed and inked.
The Flowers I used are from Prima. The punches for the sentiment are also from Stampin Up.

Josie: This week I used a Joanna Sheen House Mouse stamp. I coloured with Pro Markers and Flexi Markers. The backing card is from Hunky Dory. I covered the petals with glossy accents. The flowers are punched from different coloured card and layered up with a gem in the middle. Hand wrote the sentiment myself, 'Hello Petal'.

****
Can I please stress to entrants only 2 cards per challenge and only 10 challenges at once. Its a real shame to have to exclude some fab entries due to rules being broken.
