SHABBY CHIC
and is sponsored by the wonderful

They are offering our winner a voucher to spend in their online store

We wanna see your most desirable projects. And here are our Design Team's work below, in case you're not sure what to do.

Steph : I really struggled with this one as my mojo wasn't working too well and Shabby Chic really wasn't coming to mind. But I managed it somehow and I was quite happy with the outcome.
I chose a little image which I found on a folder on my PC and have no idea where I got it from. I coloured her with my trusted ProMarkers and attached her to the backing card which was cut with a nestie.
The backing paper came free in a magazine and the wooden butterflies from Hobbycraft. Attached it altogether, wrapped some cream ribbon around, added some pearly gems and Bob's your Uncle.
I hope it's helped bring some inspiration to some of you.

Josie : I used a Bugaboo digi stamp and chose the colour scheme from the patterned Basic Grey paper. I used distress inks all around the edges of each paper and the image. I added some lace and flowers and punched a butterfly. I coloured the little animal in and then went over with clear wink of stella glitter pen. I then added glossy accents to make it stand out.

Helen:  I really love the shabby chic look that is so popular at the moment.  For my card, I have used some beautiful paper from Melissa Frances' 5th Avenue collection called Pearl that I thought would work perfectly with this week's theme.  The edges of the paper have been distressed, then layered onto a piece of chipboard that has been painted with DecoArt Pink Lemonade acrylic paint.
The guipure lace and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the sentiment is from the Just a Note set from Stempelglede, stamped and cut out using a Labels 6 Nestabilities die.  The ballerina is also from Melissa Frances, edged with Diamond Sparkles from Hunkydory.
Hope you have fun with your creations this week! xx

Jacqui HFor this card I went off piste. I had some fablon that I was desperate to use for the right thing. Fablon on a card I hear you say! Yes!!! The backing for this is fablon, not any fablon, but flocked fablon and it's lush!!!!!
I took some matt n layers from a recent Kanban kit and turned them into flowers. Added brads to the centres, went nuts with three lots of ribbon to make a lush bow, and used matts n layers for the sentiment. The sentiment is from a recently acquired stamp set (cannot remember the name of the manufacturer) that has some great phrases on it.

I went with a wonderful digi from a Day for Daisy.  I used some softer colors from Bo Bunny called Gabrielle.  The flowers are from Prima, the pins are from Maya Road, the pearls are from Melissa Frances and the sentiment from Gina K.  The die cut used behind the flowers are from MFT called leafy flourish.

Jacqui M
For this weeks challenge I used this adorable Shabby Chic Teacup Mouse image, which is a Freebie from Kathie at Bearywishes. I used Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby DPs and scrunched them up. The image is coloured with the trusty Promarkers, and the lace was in my stash box. The flowers are again Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby DPs and I just used my Circle Nesties to cut them and then scrunched them up, finally adding some little pearls to the centres.

The lovely Jacqui M has chosen this weeks Challenge
MONSTERS INC.
and is sponsored by the wonderful

They are offering our winner a £10 Voucher to spend in their store

We wanna see your scariest, creepiest, cutest and funniest monsters. And here are our Design Team projects to spark some inspiration.

StephI actually used this card for my son's 9th birthday. He is a massive Super Mario fan and I thought he'd really like this as he loves the villian Bowser. This image was actually drawn freehand by my partner Dan. I just made 4 copies and coloured them all in with my promarkers.
I then layered them up Decoupage style and used a brickwork stamp from Lapashe as the background.
After Bowser had been assembled, I attached him to the brickwork card and added the sentiment at the bottom. I used glittered gel on his eyebrows and hair for an added 'firey' look and I used Glossy Accents on his teeth and eyes.

Josie : This card was for a friend who brought me back a little lockness monster from Scotland. I had this little stamp and coloured with Pro Markers. I added glossy accents and glitter around the edge. The patterned paper is by Basic Grey.

Helen:  I've used a digi image of a lovable monster from the DigiStamp Boutique and coloured him in with Flexmarkers.  The Little Monster label has been stamped out using an alphabet set from Studio G, then coloured in using Stampin Write Markers from Stampin' Up!  The backing paper is called Holding Hands and is from Pebbles Inc.  I've used a Papermania card spring to make the image 'pop' off the card, and mounted it onto some blue pearlised card from my stash, cut out using a Top Note die from Stampin' Up!
For added interest, I've added some googly eyes and wrapped bakers twine around the die cut.
Looking forward to seeing your little monsters! xx

Jacqui HFor this I used a digi image that was kindly donated by a friend from her stash. I think he's the cutest dragon! I again used promarkers (can you tell I only possess promarkers?). Mounted onto an A6 blank with a peel off sentiment added. I know some folk poo poo peel offs, I find them useful and they have their place in any crafters box of tricks.

Shelby
I used this fabulous free digi from Make it Crafty.  I paired him up with some Authentique Glowing papers.  The web die cut is from Memory box and the button sentiment is from Martha Stewart.

Hi everyone...For this challenge I decided to draw my own little Monster lol..A really simples card, all the cardstock was in my stash, I used the good old Promarkers to colour him in, the border is a Martha Stewart Edge Punch and I just added a button.

As the weather is changing, all our summer blooms are fading and we are all out in the garden deadheading flowers, turning over and raking up the new fallen leaves.

This weeks Challenge is called
IN THE GARDEN
and is sponsored by the wonderful

We want to see your projects of what you like to see 'In The Garden'. And if you are stuck for thoughts, here are our Design Team to spark a few ideas.

StephI loved this image I got from Digi Web Studio because it reminds me of my own sons. The spotty backing paper is from stash. The image I coloured wuth Promarkers and the sentiment is Hunky Dory. I made the trees using odd scraps out of my 'left over paper' drawer, screwed them up and then flattened out for that textured look. I used pinflair to keep them in place and added red gem 'apples' to the trees to finish.

Josie: These images are so cute. I loved colouring this in. Of course I used Pro Markers for this. Then with the flowers I coloured over the pro markers with wink of stella clear glitter pen and then put glossy accents over that. It is a lovely effect.

Helen:
My image this week is called Toadstool for Two and is from Lili Of The Valley.  I'm afraid I'm no gardener, but I would love to have a couple of cute bunnies running around, and colourful toadstools in my garden!
I've used my Aquamarkers, and added glossy accents to the toadstool and Marvy Snow Marker on the bunnies' tails.  The base paper is from Kaisercraft, and the sentiment and base card are from Craftwork Cards.  The rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the lace trim is from my stash.
Looking forward to seeing your lovely creations this week! Helen xx

Jacqui HThis image from Digi Web Studio is how I view myself when gardening, trouble is I have the black fingers of the plant killer, hence I don't garden! Coloured with promarkers and mounted onto a bright n cheery backing paper on a 5" square card. Topped with a sentiment.

ShelbyThanks for stopping by to check out our In the Garden challenge!  I know my garden flowers and colors are fading fast as Autumn approaches.  However, my beautiful purple asters are in full bloom, so purple is the color of the day!  I colored this adorable Sarah Kay image up with copics, and paired her up with some Jillibean Soup paper and PTI papers.  The flowers are from Prima and the die cut is from MFT called leafy flourish.

Hi everyone...My card features one of our Sponsors super cute digi stamps. I coloured her using my Promarkers and added Stampendous Ultra Fine Glitter to the flowers. The DP and Sentiment are from Polka Doodles - All Around And Everywhere CD. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the border and added a couple of self adhesive gems to it.

This week everyone with children will be exhaling and relaxing, now the children have gone back to school for a fresh new school year.
Oh yes, I feel it too. 6 whole weeks of squabbling siblings, extra laundry, trying to find activities for the easily bored teens and tots and NOW, we have back the 6 hours a day with which we can relax and create.

This weeks Challenge is called
RELAX
and is sponsored by the wonderfully sassy

Who will be offering to our winner a prize of

Woohooooooooo!!

I want to see your creations to interpret what you would like to do to relax. And if you are stuck for thoughts, here are our Design Team projects to spark a few ideas.

Steph: There's nothing I love to do more (apart from crafting of course) than relax with a lovely cup of coffee. I fell in love with this image from our adorable sponsors Bugaboo which is called 'Ava Latte'. I used the papers from my stash. I coloured the 'Ava' image with my trusty Promarkers, used mulberry flowers with brad inserts and a sentiment from Hunky Dory. I used glittered gel on the backing paper flowers and to Ava's bow to finish off.

Josie: I loved this digi image from Bugaboo. And quite frankly I love the theme. We all have some kind of stress in our lives and all deserve time to relax. This image is what I would like to be doing right now! Sat in a lovely posh bar waiting for Gerard Butler to come and buy me a drink! When I saw this backing paper in my Basic Grey collection, it screamed class. So I had to use it. I kept the colours quite basic but threw in the bright pink for a little something. I edged the image with cosmic shimmer glitter and coloured with Pro Markers. I coloured the ribbon with Pro Markers too.

Hi there crafters!  This week, I have chosen the lovely Crafting Scarlette image from our fab sponsors, because my way of relaxing after a long day at work is to craft, usually with chocolate :).  I've coloured her in using my Flexmarkers, and added a mini card (you may remember this one from the sketch challenge a few weeks ago!), and some other crafty goodies.  The mini scissors came from a pack of buttons by Craftime, the pearls are from K & Co, and the mini roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I've turned her into a Crafting Queen by adding a crown from my stash, and highlighted her lips with a touch of Cosmic Acrylic Drawing Ink called Cosmic Blush.

Can't wait to see how you relax!  Have fun xx

Jacqui HI took the digi image from Bugaboo and coloured with promarkers, used my nesties to die cut the image and the sentiment. Mounted them both onto an A6 card backed with an oriental paper to co-ordinate.

Shelby: I used an image from our fabulous sponsor Bugaboo!  Nothing like slipping into a hot bath to try and rinse away the yucks of a stressful day.  The hilarious sentiment is also from Bugaboo.  I paired this Diva up with some paper from MME and embossed the back layer of DP to try and emulate bubbles.  The crystals were from my stash.  I hope you enjoy and can't wait to see what ya'll come up with.

Jacqui M: I used this Fab image and sentiment from our sponsor this week. Shes just fabulous isn't she lol. The DPs are all from Polka Doodles - All Around And Everywhere CD, the image was coloured with my trusty Promarkers. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch and ribbon from my stash to finish off.

And to introduce our guest designers for today from our fantastic sponsors Bugaboo who have also joined in.  The lovely Amy and Jackie are here with their creations also below.

Finally, this weeks challenge is Sponsored by the wonderfully talented

Kenny is giving away some of his finest digi's for the winner of this weeks challenge which is

*SPORTS MAD*

We want to see anything sports related on your cards. Simple as that.
So if your struggling to find any ideas, please check out our fantastic DT creations below for some new found inspiration.

Steph: I used our sponsors Basketball dude image and coloured him in Promarkers. Seems I chose LA Lakers colours. Wasn't deliberate people, I just like them colours and thought I wondered if there was actually a team using them colours.
Anyway, the backing paper was by Jacqui at Poodles Poodles that she created herself. I just coloured it in. again with Promarkers.  I used purple card from my stash. Used Candi by Craftwork Cards to glam up the backing paper. The ribbon was plain white satin ribbon which I coloured with the same coloured Promarkers as I used for the team strip. I printed off the sentiment using a Converse font. and Voila!!

Josie: I found it hard which image to choose, because all the Kenny K digis are fantastic. So a friend chose a sport for me which was Hockey. I was pleased actually because this kind of reminded me of a phase I went through when I was about 12 I think! I saw the film Mighty Ducks and always wanted to do ice hockey after that! Never got to though :( lol. Anyway, I coloured with Pro Makers and backed with Pinflair dotted and gingham card. I wanted to give the illusion that she was standing on ice, so I coloured a section near her feet with clear Wink of Stella pen from Kuretake, and then covered with Glossy Accents. Its looks like shiny glittery ice!

Jacqui H: For this card I used a Kenny K digi of an american footballer, my hubby's favourite team is the Detroit Lions. He always favours the underdog, and has no pretensions that they will ever win the Superbowl. His birthday is a couple of weeks before the superbowl, and the new season is about to start. I coloured the image in promarkers to about the Lions colours. Inked the edge to look like a churned up pitch. Brayered a base card and added a sentiment.  Hope you like.

Hi there!  I've used Tennis Girl from our fab sponsor Kenny K.  She is coloured in with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, then mounted onto green and chocolate brown card to match the image colours.  I've added a piece of metal mesh to the background to imitate the tennis racket and a row of star brads.  For a final touch I found some little tennis balls in my stash.  I can't even remember buying them (a sure sign I have too much stash, but don't tell hubs, lol)!  Have fun creating this week and please consider joining this lovely DT team :) xx

Jacqui M: I also used one of our Fab sponsor Kenny Ks images, I chose Hockey Girl. I've coloured her with the trusty old promarkers, I printed her again this time scaling the image down further to get the little hockey skates as an embellishment. The backing papers are from The Clipart Fairy, Polka Dot Button and Bakers Twine from The Ribbon Girl.

Shelby  I used Basketball from our fabulous sponsor, Kenny K (I loooove his images)!  I paired him up with Reminisce papers called Hoops and Basketball Court.  The sentiment is from Raindrop Echo Sentiments and cut it out with a circle nestie.  I picked the colors for his uniform from the papers, and it just so happened they were the exact colors of our local high school!  I hope you enjoy, and I look forward to seeing your Sports Mad designs...
